Excitement mounts, as fashionistas prepare for Belfast FASHIONWEEK, starting October 15th, as ‘Nor Lisa Fashion AW15’ was unveiled to an intimate gathering at the exclusive ‘The Chelsea Bar Belfast’, last week.

Glitz and glamour will be in abundance as the city plays host to the great and good of the fashion world. There's nothing quite like the buzz of Belfast Fashion Week and with October’s event already showing signs of being a roaring success – some of the front row packages are already sold out – designers are keen to grab some pre-show exposure, by giving us a glimpse of what they have to offer, for the coming season.
Lisa McCabe, the driving force behind the brand, cites “glamour and femininity” as the keystones to her brand identity; and can boast beautiful local designer & presenter Katie Larmour as a regular client for red carpet events, together with model mum Lucy Avril Evangelista, former Miss NI and Miss UK.

Multi-talented Lisa not only creates her own printed fabrics but also produces millinery, and will undertake bespoke designs, if requested. Lisa says, “Since establishing my label I have tried to establish a signature design statement which run's throughout all of my collections. This allows consumers to instantly recognize a Nor Lisa piece, just as you would with the likes of any other high-end designer. She adds, “Decadent fabrics, flowing silks & luxurious lace create both a high impact whilst retaining femininity. My designs consist of sweeping full length gowns, distinctive custom designed prints, laser cutting and creating designs, which always stand out.”
It seems to me, Lisa’s achieved what she set out to do, as the AW15 designs were a fabulous mix of opulence, glamour and femininity. Chic Grecian-style full length gowns in gold and copper, vibrant Aztec prints in autumnal hues, and ravishing red dresses - complete with dangerously high thigh slits - showcased the creativity of the Nor Lisa brand.
